What Niche Products to Sell Online

What are the Best Niche Products to Sell Online

A good indicator of popular niches is to Google the idea and look at the search volume. I just pumped in “how to lose weight”, and the search volume is 777, 000, 000. Date: 05/03/2020. Time: 11.00 am. (This is one of the best niche products or services to sell online, although with tons of competition).

Piece of the Pie

As you can see, quite a few people are competing for a share of the “pie”.

Note: Pie = Market Share ; )

Googles search algorithm will instantly arrange which sites are most relevant for your interests “specifically”.  Which means, everyone who’s looking for something on the web has a unique “fingerprint”, and Google will use this info’ to help you the best way they can.

Here’s a list of the best Niches to sell online as of 2020:

  • Fitness and Weight Loss
  • Health
  • Dating and Relationships
  • Pets
  • Self-Improvement
  • Wealth Building Through Investing
  • Making Money on the Internet
  • Beauty Treatments
  • Gadgets and Technology
  • Personal Finance

These are the most popular niches as of 2020, and means they have a lot of competition. So if you’re a newbie, have a look at the list, pick a topic that takes your fancy and grind it down.

This means uncovering a “micro-niche” in that industry. For example: If you were to pick “Wealth Building through Investing.” Dwindle it down to a single idea like Bitcoin. Then you could funnel it further to “The best Bitcoin affiliates.”

And then become the go-to “expert” in the Bitcoin affiliate corner.

Note: There’s a process to making money online, and if you follow it, your success is guaranteed. (and that’s not pie in the sky)

Think about it… even a simple task like eating a sandwich requires a drawn-out process before taking the action to eatin’ that flavorsome snack. Everything in life is a process, and the key to success is finding a method that works.

Evergreen

The best thing about the list above is they are industries that aren’t going to go out of fashion (they’re “Evergreen”). You don’t have to worry about your business struggling in years to come. Unlike some of the “fad niches.” like Pet Rocks, Cabbage patch dolls, and space hoppers.

Note: I just had a look online for cabbage patch dolls, and some of the original ones are selling for $2000 plus ; )

Space Hoppers

I often get asked what specific niche is best. And the best piece of advice is to look around for what really motivates you. Maybe something you already know a lot about. This will not only short-cut your path to success but will prevent you from getting bored. Remember what I said in a previous post, “Find something you love to do, and never work another day in your life.”

There’s a guy at W.A (his name’s Jay from “magistudios”) who started a micro-niche called “football snack helmets.” I don’t know exactly how much it’s making now, but a year ago, it made $300 per day. And it only took him minutes to set up.

BTW: Wealthy Affiliate is the name of the company “W.A.”

Click on that link, and you’ll see all the other products he’s added as the sites matured. And no, I don’t get anything for showing you his site. It’s just an excellent example for me to share with you.

Passive Income

This is the point where you sit back and relish the hard work you’ve put in. Most folk will have picked a niche and worked for months building their website out. And then throw it all down the drain by giving up just before they reach the gold. It’s sad but true.

So many people are “trained” to trade their time for money. Which is all well and good until you injure yourself and have to take “time” off. This is where you’ll realize it isn’t the best strategy in the world for becoming wealthy.

Writing a 30,000-word ebook on your niche seems like hard work at the time. But when you’ve finished it, the royalties will rain down on you for life (no matter what injuries you incur). This is the best way to become wealthy. Although it takes a lot of belief in yourself and a good mentor : ).

The great thing about the internet is once you’ve discovered your niche. You don’t have to make your product. There are plenty of affiliate programs waiting for you to promote their wares.

Once you’ve got all your systems in place (it’ll take a lot of work), you can then sit back and watch the money roll in.

This rewards your persistence and effort in changing the “old way” of doing things.

Money pouring in

The Big Idea

Once you’ve picked your niche, get a notepad or use the one on your computer. And start researching your competition. What this means is it is in your best interest to discover as much as possible about what other businesses in your niche are offering.

Make detailed notes on exactly what they’re selling and “how” they’re selling those products or services.

Keep in mind; you want to find better ways to serve your customers. And this is how you make that transition. Brainstorm your notes, and come up with original ideas.

You want to separate yourself in such a way that others find your stuff “fascinating” ( emerge from that rough and become “The” diamond).

We live in a world full of constant distractions, with professionals baying for our attention every minute of the day. The only way to stand out is to be different. So it’s worth taking the time to start those creative juices flowing.

Note: Stream of Money is still in its fledgling stage and is growing its feathers in preparation for flight. Just in case you were thinking! : /

Remember, when you land on a site that is only a year old, it will be ten years old in nine years. This is the reality, and if you don’t take action now, time will fly by, and nothing will be accomplished. Every business you see online started like this site or the one you’re about to start. And the only difference between any of them is the constant attention to growth (every day).

The Best Niche Products (revisited)

The reason they’re the best is that the market for them is vast and never-ending. And from each industry listed, you can find hundreds of micro-niches to promote and create a successful business. Make sure you start with just the one, though. I know many people who create two or three and become swamped by the amount of work it takes to build out the sites (don’t be one of them).

Like I’ve said earlier, take your time and become the skilled operator you’ll be proud of in the future. And never be suckered in by all the bright shiny bull out there. There’s no shortcut in this or any other business (unless you’ve got the money to invest).

But I’m assuming you’re new to this game. So heed the advice, it saves you time and money.

There you go, another concise, no-bull, to-the-point article. I hope you’ve enjoyed it and are taking action toward your future success. As always, leave a comment and let me know if I can serve you any better (I love new ideas).

P.S: Make sure you keep coming back and diving into all the other articles I’ve published. They “build” upon one another, and you’ll gain stuff you won’t realize through the process of “osmosis“.

  1. I have heard you can google niches and see what the traffic is, but I don’t see that on my screen or perhaps I’m just not looking in the right spot. Maybe you could lead me in the right direction.

I do think it’s fascinating that you can create a micro-niche that can do well. I’m curious about that and trying to brainstorm ways of narrowing things down. For now, I’m trying out something broad and learning to build upon that.

There’s a tool called “Jaaxy“, and it’s a bit like having a crystal ball. With it, you’re able to gather all the relevant information to spearhead your campaign into orbit.

It tells you exactly how many companies are using a specific “keyword”, and how much traffic you’ll get if you’re ranked on the first page. There are many tools similar to “jaaxy out there, but for me, this one’s the best. It’s been developed by affiliate marketers for affiliate marketers. Have a look “Here”.

Thanks again, Tara, and all the best for your future.

  3. Hi Dedo,

I fully agree when you said to pick a niche that is “evergreen”, but since they are very competitive (which is ok, means the money is there), you need to narrow down to a micro-niche.

Affiliate marketing is a viable income option. The big question people should ask is, can it work for them? It requires dedication and commitment over a long period. Thanks for sharing this 🙂

    • Thanks, Luc, for concurring with my post.

I do love agreement. Although sometimes I love the contrary opinion, (it helps me grow).

I appreciate the time you’ve taken to leave a comment, Luc. The advantage of being “proactive” is, it becomes a habit, and make your progress much simpler in the future.

I remember years ago, becoming involved with a financial forum “MaxKeiser.com“. At first, it was scary communicating with these guys. But after a while, I lost all doubt about my abilities and dived in.

I use that example to show how “we” can all have doubts about our true worth. But once you take the first step, the rest comes easy.

All the best Luc, and thanks again.
